The Flow Over Time

An important thing that I have found absent from most courses is the reminder to people starting out to not get attached to comfort. Too often people hit a stride with one particular meditation and then camp on it for as long as possible because within that one they feel successful. The problem with this is you end up self-plateauing by accident. There will be many occasions where you will need this or come on to something exciting and you will want to repeat it, but I would rather you not have to hit a plateau unless you choose to. This is where the meditation log comes in very handy. It is much easier to notice trends when you are keeping record of your experience, as well as feelings along the way. Audit often and don’t be afraid to switch it up from time to time. Changing where or how you are meditating or even switching between guided and unguided once you feel comfortable will help you stop this unintentional rest stop when it’s not needed.

Remember! This is about a journey within yourself and your mind. There is no wrong way to do this if you are entering into this with respect and good intent. Honor yourself in those moments and be open when you are ready for change or see the growth when it happens in those moments you will want and need more out of a meditation or from yourself.

Let’s pause to talk about flow for a second. By now I’m sure you have done that basic breathing exercise many times throughout your day and know it back and forth so let’s add another little nugget on the end of it for you to use.

Please Navigate to the support page and start using the second breathing exercise.
