After the Foyer

Now that the foyer is comfortable, and the first 30-day block is done, and you want to start exploring the rest of the house how do you do it? The first answer is simple, your intent will guide you to what you’re looking to develop within yourself.

There are a lot of tools out there to help guide your intent if there is something specific that you are looking to do. Like a guided meditation when the guide is giving you the intent as they take you on a verbal journey. By this point I would hope that you have started to explore unguided meditation. If you haven’t that’s okay but if you have done your first 30-day block it’s time to start playing around with it. Just in case, I will go over some basics here to help you along the way.

An unguided meditation will use just music or sounds or nothing at all. Most people will start with just the concept of open monitoring until part of their body catches their attention or a threshold has been reached. If you are doing it this way, setting your intention before you begin is crucial. I often recommend to people as they begin to state their intention out loud beforehand.

“In this meditation I am here to focus on self-healing of my sore back”

“In this meditation I am here to focus on guidance for where I am to go next”

“In this meditation I am here to focus reducing the way my stress is affecting my body and mind”

And the list goes on but it’s a great sentence to say and also to hear yourself say it. A quick google search will lead you to lists and lists of things you can use meditation for and if you get super specific the list becomes endless. I’m not going to list them all here. I do however want to encourage you to let your interest and curiosity guide you. Learning how to listen to your intuition is also a door within your mind and a great tool to develop to decide what door to put work into next if that is what you are ready for.
