The Meat and Potatoes

Most modalities out there introduce healing as learning how to heal yourself before you learn how to heal other people, and this is done for a few reasons. One, learning how to open your crown and flow that energy through your body without distraction can be a journey all on its own and can even be a bit frustrating. Teaching this in a space where you’re only working with yourself, be it through meditation or quietly sitting, can be a huge advantage so somebody doesn’t have to worry about how they’re looking to the person being healed while they’re learning one of the most difficult skills. Most of the time I use a flower reference on the top of the head. I have the person sit quietly in a neutral position, picture their favorite flower in a bud on the top of their head and visualize that flower blooming to allow the light to then enter into the top of their head and start the flow of extra energy.

Now all on its own this sounds very simple and in truth it is, but we have to back up one single step, for the person to acknowledge where this energy is coming from. Intent and respect matter in these moments. If you are tapping into an Angel, you are visualizing that connection with the Angel first or reaching out verbally, as I spoke before the method is up to you, then you are opening the flower to allow them to flood your body with light so then you can channel it to the person that you’re working on. This goes the same if you’re connecting directly to God or if you’re just connecting to the energy that lays all around us and bringing more of a universal energy into your healing practice. All three of these are very possible and all three of these have a different level of effectiveness. See it sounds like such a minor and small detail to acknowledge where the energy is coming from when healing because of course all the energy comes from one singular source to begin with; so, what does it matter acknowledging it as a Healer? I’ll tell you it matters a great deal. Your intent in that moment and appreciation for who or what you’re connecting to sets the stage for the intent of what you intend to do with the person that you are healing, and it also shows acknowledgment and gratitude for the gifts that you currently possess. I’ve seen this step missed a lot and it’s such an easy fix when it’s a simple mental acknowledgment on where you’re piping that energy from, but it makes such a big difference on results!

Let us recap, we have the flower open, we’ve acknowledged where the energy is coming from or who we have connected to, we basically have set the stage for what’s about to happen, the next stage is where the focus of the Healer needs to remain open and centered moving that energy from the top of your head down your neck splitting it at your shoulders and down your arms to exit the palms of your hands takes a lot of focus and practice. In truth that’s not the part that takes the focus, the focus is actually required from not getting in your own way while you’re doing it. The practice is actually maintaining a clean line of thought in order to not become distracted. Once you have a handle on these two things, you’ll find that that energy flows very naturally into the other person with little effort on your side. Though most people, especially in the beginning, struggle with not becoming distracted or overthinking the process or worrying if the healing that they’re about to do is going to be effective. All of those things create static along that pathway. If we just continue on with the river analogy for a second, then the more rock and debris we put into the river the more rapids and resistance that we’re creating. Think of those distracting thoughts or the overthinking or the worry as boulders, sticks, and rocks that are now being thrown into the river and disrupting the water’s movement. Again, learning how to heal and move energy on yourself first becomes more of an asset where you’re able to practice without worrying about how you look to the person that’s looking to you for healing.

I have included a link to one of my Healing Meditations as part of this course. In this meditation you will connect directly to me, and I will act as a conduit for you to receive. Not to worry I have set this up as a one-way connection so you can access this whenever you like without disruption to me. I hope you enjoy it!

This meditation and more are included in the meditation pass subscription.
