As you sit there, you probably see that there is a long answer and a short answer to this statement, from everything that we’ve covered so far. Even though they’re the framework of this gift, it is interwoven in many of the other gifts but only as the way the person chooses to communicate or receive guidance. If somebody only chooses to receive guidance in a visual way, then they will disregard the emotional shorthand that this gift can offer. However, if somebody is more sensation based then not only will this shorthand be used more often but it will grow in strength and efficiency moving forward. I do want to take a little time and slow down and speak to how the story affects interpretation. If you spend the first part of your Awakening or your time researching how out of control this gift is for people or how much of a burden they feel when connecting to others, you will indeed create your own self-fulfilling prophecy. I assure you that is not the way that it needs to be! We as people love to get wrapped up in the story and the fantasy around connection with another human being on a romantic level, supernatural level, or an energetic level. I would never deny anybody the story they choose to tell themselves however, I am here to show you a different way if you choose to travel it. The original gift was always meant as a magnifying glass so the person could gain true understanding of how a person is thinking and feeling. It was a gigantic cultural game of telephone that has made it what it is today. Now I’m not saying that it’s all bad. Sometimes I love viewing the interpretation and where something has grown to, and some of the rabbit holes or different directions that it’s taken. Some of the stories out there make understanding easier, some have made it more rigid for somebody to fit inside of a framework, and on the other side some have made it more difficult. It’s really at the end of the day up to you how you choose to use this and how you choose to learn the ability that is locked up inside of you. Choose your framework wisely and don’t get sold a bill of goods unless it is you that is choosing to buy it.
