For some people these two things are very different and for some they are blended together.
But they actually mean very different things. Most people rear back when someone talks about religion because of a problem that they had with a church or temple. But if we take the time to understand that Modality and Religion are interchangeable and spirituality is how we use and feel about either one of those. The rest will make way more sense.
So lets keep the car analogy going for a moment, and break down each one of these into a separate category
Faith:
Everyone's destination, who God is to you. Do you call him Source, The Divine, The Universe. Does not matter what word you use it's what you turn to when you are within doubt.
Religion:
This is the vehicle you drive. Like the earlier analogy you might have certain preferences and likes and dislikes. But at the end of the day this is how your choosing to travel to you destination and how you drive is your choice.
Spirituality:
This is the gas you put in the tank. Some people choose high performance gas to make their car run better and some use the gas their buddy made in his back yard and you're surprised the car moves at all. At the end of the day we are all responsible for where we drive and how well our car runs.
