In the beginning, most people tend to use it for introspection. Not only creating the space within your mind to work but training the mind to work within that space. Now before you call me out on a clever sentence, try to understand that if I was to ask most people to silence their mind of all thought for 5 minutes, 99% of people who do not meditate will not be able to do it. Now let’s fast forward to being able to quiet your mind. Now that you have the silence what do you do with it? Is your intention that it  is time to stop? The truth is, that it is the point where you start. Just like making a muscle stronger it takes practice and dedication. Your mind is no different.
